Samarakan Trip 1.1 Interactor Lai Jie Hua informed all the members about the Samarakan Trip and showed them the some of the pictures of Samarakan Trip last year. 1.2 Details: a. Organised by National Science Society b. Date: 5th and 6th March 2011. c. Aim: To promote the biodiversity (flora and fauna) in Bintulu and also promote the conservation and preservation of nature d. Details i. This trip is only opened to 10 interactors. ii. Participants can know some rare species of amphibians iii. Special equipments needed will be provided by the organizers. iv. The participants will need to give a talk about the trip and organisms there at primary schools when they are back from the trips.

Activities that will be carried out this year 2.1 Interactor Lai Jie Hua informed all the members all the activities that will be carried out this year. 2.1.1 Station Game a. Date: March holiday b. OC: Chang Foo Yung, Sim Welson and Gene Liew c. Venue : Taman Tumbina d. Aim: To have a better understanding between interactors 2.1.2 Activity with Leo Club a. Date: Probably in March b. Aim: To have an interaction with members of Leo Club 2.1.3 ICT Presentation a. Date: April b. Theme: Anti-plastics c. Aim: To have a better awareness about the plastic issue and save the Earth d. Details: i.Interactors are divided into groups of three or four each 2.1.4 Garden Cleaning a. Date: April b. Aim: To beautify the abandoned garden and make it our club’s c. OC: Richard Lau d. Activities: Plant trees gotten from BDA and our club’s signboard 2.1.5 Teacher’s Day Sale a. Date: May b. OC: Chai Lee Ying 2.1.6 Replace Polystrene Box used with Plastic Box a. Aim: To decrease the use of polystyrene and save the mother Earth b. OC: Liao Swee Nguong c. Details: i. Polystrene box used to serve food is replaced with plastics box ii. Students need to pay extra RM0.50 for it iii. After finished eating, the students can returned the plastics box for the refund of RM0.50
